Though Dr. Alan Plotner has lived in northern Virginia for some time, he is a true New Yorker. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1983 and then pursued his medical studies at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine. While there, he continued with his medical internship, residency and gastroenterology training.
Dr. Alan Plotner joined The Gastroenterology Group in 1992. His professional interests include inflammatory bowel disease, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
He resides with his wife and three charming daughters. He is a music enthusiast who also finds time for tennis and coaching his children’s soccer team.
