Dr. Darren Baroni attended Monmouth University and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology. He obtained his Medical Degree at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences Medical School.
He then completed his Internal Medicine residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu. His Gastroenterology fellowship was completed at the Walter Reed Medical Center.
Dr. Darren Baroni served several years as an active duty Army Physician, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His assignments have included Chief of Gastroenterology at Tripler Army Medical Center, Teaching Attending at Walter Reed Medical Center, and a deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is board certified in Gastroenterology, and has particular interests in inflammatory bowel disease, motility disorders, and interventional gastroenterology.
In his spare time, Dr. Baroni enjoys military history, gourmet cooking, Redskins football, and beach water sports.
