Krishna Vemana MD

Dr. Krishna Vemana was born and raised in Ohio. He followed in his father’s footsteps and pursued a career in medicine. He obtained his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio. After completing his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Case Western Reserve University/Case Medical Center in Cleveland, OH, he was asked to stay on as clinical faculty at Case Western Reserve University and the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center.

During his training he served as the Chief Gastroenterology fellow and was awarded the excellence in teaching award by the medical house staff. His particular areas of interest included inflammatory bowel disease and the development of technical videos to promote education in endoscopy techniques.

After moving to northern Virginia, Dr. Krishna Vemana has continued his Gastroenterology practice with interests in all general gastroenterology issues with particular attention to colorectal cancer screening, gastroesophageal reflux disease, functional GI disorders and hemorrhoid treatment. He is an active member in the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Krishna Vemana has offices in Annandale and Arlington, Virginia.

When not working, he enjoys travelling, cooking and spending time with his wife and two young daughters.
